JANG YOUNG SIL - KOREAN DRAMA (PART 2)

Jang Yeong Sil Science Garden in Busan commemorates the achievements of one of the greatest scientists of Joseon. Jang is credited with inventing, or collaborating on, 19 Joseon Era scientific instruments.
The Chart of the Constellations is the second oldest stone-carved star map in the world, first compiled in 1395. This is National Treasure #228.

The Oriental Sun Dial has the 12 different animal signs. In the center there is a plate that indicates the first day of each month and 24 seasonal points. When standing on the date marker one can read the time from the shadow on the plate. 

A Korean sundial first made by Jang Yeong-sil during the Joseon Dynasty, displayed in Gyeongbokgung. The Concave Sundial is shaped like a hemisphere with 24 divisions for the year and hour lines with intervals of 1 hour and 10 minutes.Because of the seasonal line and hourly lines the sundial is accurate any time of the year.
The Armillary Sphere is used to measure the position of the sun, moon, and five other planets. This National Treasure #230.
The Astronomical Instrument is used to detrmine the postions of the heavenly bodies.
The Equatorial Sun Dial has a plate that is parallel to the equatorial plane.
The Rain Gauges are instruments to measure the amount of rain fall. The rain gauge is Treasure #842.
The Sun and Star Time Forecaster is designed to measure the time of day and night based of the fact that all stars rotate around the North Star.
The Water Depth Gauge is a pyramid-shaped hexagonal stone water gauge used to measure stream depth with 10 graduation marks 8.5 inches apart.

The Wind Vane is used to indicate the strength and direction of the wind. The vane's pedestal is Treasure #846.

The 600 years Astronomical Clock in Prague Old Town Square in Czech Republic is featured.
